Poopin' Puppy

Man, the life as a Bailey is so busy! I sit here in the middle of making dinner, craving to blog. What am I making for dinner you ask? Well I am making green beans and butternut squash, Mashed cauliflower and lemon herb chicken. Thanks to my Grandma for the Butternut squash!

Anyways, we went up to Idaho this past weekend for Labor Day and visited the family! It was so good to see everyone! Poor Sam has broken all of his toes. He was pretty proud to show us his pink casted foot along with his 5 pins! Ouch! He is definitely antsy to get back on the sports side of life! He's in our prayers that he will have a quick and health recovery! It was good to spend time with the family and yes eat home made ice cream! Burnt Chocolate Almond Ice cream! My mouth waters just typing it out! We celebrated Jake's and Zach's birthdays up there as well. My Buckwheat turned 19 and my dear cousin Zach turned 17. Man, am I getting old, or those boys are just getting huge! They are surely eating their green beans or something! On Saturday we went to Lucky Peak and played in the very cold water. The boys and Shelly Kayaked around and Maycie and I threw rocks in the water while making monster noises! All in all it was a wonderful weekend and we want to make it more of a habit of going up there more often. Family is a mighty fine thing, let me just say.

Other than that, Drayton loves his new job! We love our new car! Yes its a Mazda Cx7 and we still love Grace. It was a struggle there for awhile. She had decided to take up the habit of poopin' in the house and in her bed. After we have worked so hard to potty train her she decided to be a puppy. So last week after poopin' everyday in her bed (and trying to bury it with her blankets), getting a bath every night it was all I could do. What topped the week off was taking her to PetCo to get her a dog tag, and having these little kids scare her. What does she do? She poops on me; all over my flip flops and toes. Oh the joys of puppies. It was great! Then we left her in a kennel for 4 days. I'm sure she thought I left her there because she pooped everywhere but on the grass. But today was the first day she didn't poop in her bed! YAY!

Well I've got to finish making the Hubby dinner. So.

Until Next Time,
Peace & Love

  1. Potty-training Clare was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. Small dogs just have a rough time!

I think it was just age that helped her grow out of it. That and major diligence in regular potty times. For the first I'd say two years of her life I kept her on a rigorous schedule. We'd go out any time during the night she needed and again before I showered in the morning. Then after I showered in the morning. Then just after work/school. Then every hour or so. Now she doesn't need the midnight pee run. I think she's just growing out of it!

Grace will get the hang of it. Just stick with her!
