Bliss

WARNING: This blog is going to be long grab a blanket and some popcorn!

Oh where to start! I will first start off pre-wedding. Everyone at work was so sweet to me and was telling me that it will be completely different once we were married. In my mind my thoughts went something like: "Right, we're already living together, the only main thing that will change is a last name!" Then, for my bachelorette day, my sister and I went up to Park City and shopped! We found some smokin' deals! We also bought some shirts for our movie adventure that night. We were going to go and see Eclipse! So the shirts we bought said "Forget Princess, I want to be a Vampire" We decided last minute that we were Edward fans, and not Jacob's. So there ya have it! Our movie was at 1 in the morning at the Gateway. As we were driving there, head bobbing, hoping we'd be able to stay awake through the movie. We parked and went into the theaters. I'm standing in line, while J'Amy went to get seats and then I hear her calling my name. Telling me to come here. I wonder over there to discover something rather hilarious! Our tickets were for opening night and thus it was the next night. We had missed the movie by a full 24 hours! :D In my defense of not being able to tell date from date. When I had purchased the tickets they said they were for June 30th, Technically it was the 30th, but the theaters think its not officially the next day until its daylight outside. SO, we didn't end up seeing the movie, but it was rather funny!

The day of the wedding was very calm, for me at least. ;) I went and got the best massage ever! This girl was the size of my pinky and boy did she pack a punch! It was a good massage, and then I just hung out with my family at my momma's house and relaxed. By the time I needed to go and get my hair done, time was flying by and the nerves started kicking in! Buckwheat aka Jake came and picked me up and we went over to Eldredge.

It was a running joke that I would be crying while I walked down the isle; because yes I'm a crier. Well surprisingly enough, I was in so much shock and awe at the event at hand, that I didn't. The only time I got misty eyed was when we were saying our vows. Walking down that isle was something, let me tell ya what! Drayton looked so handsome and it was good to see all my family there! The one thing that I will never forget is this moment after the ceremony. [See the previous post about the Cake Lady to get the background] As Drayton and I turn to walk down the isle, I see our cake. . . Words cannot describe what went through my head. Profane ones may, but none that I would want to say. Drayton knowing the situation, squeezes my hand and said "its ok, just smile, its ok, not a big deal hun."All I can say is, the cake seen at our wedding was not the cake we ordered and in very polite words, it was ugly. After mingling with family and friends, cutting the cake, dancing and walking through sparklers; Drayton and I were famished. So, we went to Keva Juice in our wedding gear!

Our honeymoon in Maui was incredible! It definitely was an experience I [we] will never forget! We spend a week of sheer bliss in Ka'anapali, in the Ka'anapali hotel, which of course was beach side, had a live band every night, its own tiki grill and bar, and sweet pool! I will keep it simple on this end, because it was a special moment for Drayton and I. I would definitely love to go back again and again! We did a lot of snorkeling and saw a lot of fun fish and turtles, ate yummy food and had fun on a couple boat rides! For those of you who have facebook, you can check the photos out that I uploaded, if not e-mail me and I can send you a link to my album!

The one thing I have to say is this. With all the advice and tid bits that everyone told me and I brushed off my shoulder. There is one that is true. It is different. I've known Drayton for over 2 years now, and lived with him for about a year. Not much was going to change, but my last name. Well thats completely wrong! It feels so different, my house feels much more like a home, and I feel like the connection between Drayton and I is so much stronger. That people is the bliss that I have been living.

I love where we are in our lives! I love my family and cannot thank them profusely for the "keeping me sheltered" during the wedding and all the disasters that happened with people and the cake. I love my family so much and I was so glad I got to share our wedding with you! For those of you who traveled, thank you for investing in us, and taking the time out of your schedule to be with us! It meant the world to us to have you there! It was great to see all of my neighbors, who have seen me grow up through the years.

Momma,
Thank you for everything! You helped more than anyone, did more than anyone and supported us more than anyone! We love you with all our hearts and want you to know it!

I'll upload a post that is all photos, I'm still waiting for our photographer to get our photos! I'm so excited to see them!

Until Next Time,
Peace & Love
