Settling in to our life means redecorate Right?

Its been fantastic settling back into our home. It really feels like we moved in again. Once we got home we had so many fun things to open, which in turn meant they needed to be put away. So, I have been on a re decorating binge. Yes its quite frankly a binge. I'm at work blogging, but when I get home, I'll take photos. In Hines sight, I should have take before and after photos, but this way you can just see how cute it is. Not that our home was indifferent, but it was just plane jane, and now she has some spice to her!
I've taken to the DI. I love that place, there are so many fun gadgets you can find there, so turn into something spectacular. So my first voyage there I found a small shelf, a three tiered shelf and two wall sconces. So I'm sure you are asking yourselves, what did you do with them? Well! I hung them up silly! I re painted them and hung the shelf in my kitchen and hung the other two in my living room.
The following day, Drayton and I decided that the gift cards everyone had bought us, were burning holes in our pockets! So Target bound we were. We bought a new kitchen table! It was much needed, my circa 1970 kitchen table and chairs weren't cutting it anymore. We also bought a new set of dishes. The old table and chairs went out to the porch, as make shift patio furniture, and the dishes well all the others went out. I've decided that I want to do a mosaic on the old table. So I'm trying to come up with ideas on what designs and media to use!
My next DI adventure I was on the hunt for a frame, Drayton's parents gave us a beautiful photo that I wanted to hang in the dinning area. So I found a really interesting frame, brought it home and stained it. It turned out beautifully and hung it up.
I swear my house smells like paint and stain! Its all I've been doing since we got home. I've got to keep busy some how!
My last DI adventure so far, I bought a really funky Plant Stand. Its Green Marble with a Fruit ceramic tile. Paint will do that thing wonders! I think I might modge podge something over the tile instead of painting it!

My last projects that I need to do are:
-Frame our signing photo from our wedding
-Stain our bookshelf
-Paint and modge podge the plant stand
-Buy new bed sheets
-re-decorate the bedroom.

After all those, I might head up to the Loft. Drayton's "Hang Out Zone" and beef it up. I've not done a thing to it, and I think he would like it better up there if it were organized and cool looking. So I'm in the market for ideas for a cool idea, or theme!

Thats about it, When I get home, I'll take photos of the kitchen/dining area and living room and you can see what I've done. Please don't mind the big blank wall, that is where the signing photo will go! This is partly for you Auntie! Since you didn't get the chance to see our home!

Until Next Time,
Peace & Love
