Under Construction Update

The bedroom is completely.....complete! We had a few hiccups, mad moments and some great God moments.

Our home was vacant for over 2 years when we moved in. We've upgraded a lot of the home, A. Because we had too and B. because we wanted too. A rough and always running list of things we've done to our house include:

- New Roof
- New Siding, facia and gutters
- Painted the brick outside
- Refinished and stained the original hardwood floors
- Replaced/added carpet to the Family Room and all the bedrooms
- Replaced/Added canned lights in the Family Room and Living Room
- Added Eve lights outside
- Textured and painted the Family Room, Living Room, Dinning Room, Kitchen, Hall and now 1 bedroom
- Rehung the Kitchen cabinets
- Added a garden to the backyard
- Chopped the 'Lovely' Aspen tree down in the front yard.
- Added a AC unit
- Changed out 90% of the plumbing
- Added insulation to the attic

ANYway. All that was a mouth full! We had our friend Josh come back down and finish the rest of our home. He finished the first bedroom and man o man does it look stellar! We textured, painted, Mr. Bailey changed all the electrical fun stuff and we added a ceiling fan. During the process of painting; primer, or paint got spilled on our carpet. (which is basically brand new, we don't live or use the room we just remodeled) Can we all say in unison 'UGGGGGHHHHHH' We ended up not finding out that it was spilled on the carpet until after the fact. Our friend in a panic used Goof Off to try and clean the mess up. Which is basically a bleach and paint thinner. Can you imagine what my lovely 4 toned brown carpet looked like in there? Again 'UGH'

Here is where our God moment comes in. Vince the owner of Clean It Up Carpet Cleaners. He remarkably after looking at our carpet and saying it was somewhat bleached; got the pink/white stain out! Vince gave us some sweet mugs (can you say mmmmm coffee!!!) with his company logo on them. Which led to Drayton saying how much I love mugs and that I love the mug that my church gave us when we first attended. Vince asked what church we go to? Abundant Life we replied. A smile perked and he said Cool, I'm Pentecostal too. It was so amazing to meet another Christian in such a small community of us. I wanted to give a shout out to him and his company. He did an amazing job, and he is a man of God! I am all for supporting local companies; so if you need your carpets cleaned. Vince with Clean It Up Carpet Cleaners is the man to call! God is good and brings good people into your life. I pray that God blesses his company and Vince as well!

Mmmmkay, so pictures eh?

This is the Before, before. Like the we didn't live in our home yet.

This is the current.
