WHoooooooooooo Smells.....

My Owl does. She stinks as a matter of fact.

When I say Stink, I truly mean wonderful. Meet the Owl sachet. She is stuffed with yummy vanilla smells!
Even my puppy Grace thinks she smells sweet.
That is, until she felt her snoozing spot had been invaded by the owl.
So she nudged her off the couch. She's a sweet heart.

This was a fun little inventive idea. I have a lavender sachet in my pantie drawer. I saw it this morning and thought how darn funny it would be to have an owl hanging out in there.

She was easy to whip up and took me about 30 minutes!

You too can have a little owl hang out in your pantie drawer, or you know anywhere you would like to have a sweet smelling owl hang out. :)

Boxy Zipper Pouch!

I've sewn my first project! Well, I have sewn a couple of silly potato sack bags for some gifts I made family, but they were meant to be funky. I have taken sewing as a challenge and I think I'm getting the hang of it. This is what I created.

It is a fun boxy zipper pouch!

The purple flower one was the first one I made! I made two more for some St. Patrick's day gifts I was giving. {Hence the green inside and zipper}
I've been inspired by a bunch of other bloggers out there to be more craft and creative. It has done wonders on my soul!

Happy Friday! I'm excited for our three day weekend! That means I get to finish up a lot of my open ended crafts! I'm working on quite a few and my deadlines for them are Tuesday! Since I've decided to take on sewing {insert laugh here} I've got all sorts of little projects I want to do. The best part is they all come flooding into my brain right as I'm trying to go to sleep. Then I dream craft projects, I think this might be a sign I'm addicted to crafts.

In reality I'm not sewer, I'm a crocheter. I know nothing about sewing; though, I do know what a presser foot is, bobin, and um that if you thread your machine wrong you break a lot of needles. Those are the things I do know. My stitches were a bit off so I went to the Queen Bee of sewing in my world my sister. Picked her brain about what was going on and she fixed my sewing machine with her advise on what I was clearly doing wrong. Thanks Sister Sue, my little craft project looks 10X better! I was excited I finally figured out my tension problem, thus all these projects came flooding in. Here are some fun ideas that I want to try out here soon. I first have to get the hang of turning my project while sewing {circular objects} so they don't look so zig zaged.

Check these bloggers out and their crafty craftiness!

In case you were curious, I am anxious for Spring. I'm really done with the cold frigid weather. We dealt with it for winter, lets get along with it and have it be Spring, eh? I have been thinking of ways to decorate my house for spring and have been inspired by so many other bloggers out there! I'm a list and goal maker. I've made another goal, that each celebrated holiday, I am going to make a little craft/treat for each person in my family. I've got a couple ideas lined up and in the makings. My craft room has spilled over to my kitchen table and strung through my living room. My husband is sweet and smiles at me when I look like I've blown a craft store up in our house. I've been playing around with my sewing machine. I've had it for more than 5 years and have used it at most 3
times. I figure why not? I know my family will get a chuckle out of the sewn items I give them, straight lines, or not. Here is one of the projects I might tackle once I get a little better!
Check out these adorable plush owls. If you know me, I'm a sucker for owls, they're just so cute!

Yesterday's trivia question Answer:
The reason a shamrock is lucky if it has 4 leaves is because each leaf represents something, so if there aren't 4 its not complete...The first leaf represents Faith, The Second Hope, The Third Love and the Fourth Luck.

Today's Trivia:
What symbol is inherently associated with St. Patrick's Day?
