Can you say stunning? I know mmmkay! In search of chevron patterns, I only found a few that actually made an actual zig-zag design versus a wave and of the ones that I liked, the pattern made no sense to me! So I made my own up, in collection of a few others!
Here are mine that I've been working on.
This one was my first back into crocheting project. So its a bit skiwampous, but its a beaut and I love it!
This is the one I'm currently working on, and am in love with. I'm using a gray, cream and a mustard yellow. M, M, M I dig it!

Chain 178
Row 1: DC in 2nd CH from hook. DC in next 6 CH. *3 DC in next CH. DC in next 6 CH. Skip the next 2 CH. (This is a up/down of the zig zag. Your total stitches thus far should be 16) DC in next 6 CH. Repeat from * until last 7 CH. DC in each CH, CH 1 and turn.
Row 2-Desired Length: Repeat Row 1 until the blanket reaches your desired length.
Tips!
- If you want to use multiple colors and don't want to tie in ends. Don't cut your yarn when you switch colors, Drop it and pick up the next color, you will drag your yarn up the side of your blanket. This way, you just have to crochet the edge and cover up the drag.
- If you want to create a ripple. (Like the blanket from goodknits and my gray, cream and yellow) Crochet in the back loops only. Meaning your Row 2, you will crochet in the back loops, Row 3, you will crochet in the front loops only. This will put all of your ridging on one side of the blanked with the back side being smooth.
I love them both! SO Cute - Chevron is my favorite pattern for crochet blankets. It's seriously timeless, especially with the colors you've combined. Good work woman.
