A sign that welcomes you to escape from work, cleaning, laundry, cooking and the indoors.
I finished planting and cleaning up my patio this weekend! Boy, have I been wanting to get it all done! I must take after my mother; because, planting all those flowers made me feel so at peace. Not only did I feel at peace, I wanted to have a place I could escape too when I needed. Where else better than a free place, 10 feet from my front door. A place where my Drayton and I can sit [temporarily in our camping chairs] in the mornings and have ourselves a cup of joe, or eat some yummy turkey burgers for dinner with the twinkle lights on.
I planted more Impatience and Asylum plants than I know what to do with! I think they will be the only flower that will do well on my porch. I'm facing east, so I get sun until about 2:00 and then shade. So I figure to spare my feelings of I killed all my flowers; I'd stick to flowers I can't kill and love the shade!
This is just to the left of my sliding glass door. A bakers rack filled with pots and flowers; not pots and pans. My momma gave this to me, it was retired from her back porch and has made its way to mine. Most of the pots on the bakers rack are the ones Drayton and I made in our potter class this past winter! So much fun!
This is my outlook on the beautiful mountains! I have window boxes that set my porch apart from all the other ones when you drive into my parking lot. On the left we have Carrots and Basil. On the Right we have Green Onions and Oregano. Along the bottom I have Meaty Tomatoes and Red/Yellow/Green Bell Peppers!
This is mine and Drayton's little set up. We have our little camping grill and our camping chairs out! It works just great until we buy our bistro table and chairs! Our porch smells yummy or flowers! Its beautiful and just how I imagined it!
Until Next Time,
Peace and Love
