Bake Day 10/23 -- Home made Pizza

For the past month my sister and I have had our weekly bake days. Where we collaborate on what crafty treats and yummy dinners to bake up. I thought it would be a fun idea to capture those days and blog about them; give the recipes out and show what they look like step by step. This past week we decided to make Devil's Food Cake and home made pizza.

Here is the recipe for Pizza Hut's pizza dough:

Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups water, 2 teaspoons sugar, 1 1/4 teaspoons salt, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 2 tablespoons cornmeal, 3 cups unbleached all purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon msg (Accent*), 1 1/2 teaspoons bread machine yeast
  • Directions:
    • Step One:

    • Add ingredients (except for cornmeal) to machine bread pan in order as per manufacturer's instructions.
    • Step Two:
    • Set to "Dough" cycle.
    • Step Three:
    • Lightly grease one 9 x 13-inch pan and sprinkle with cornmeal.
    • Step Four:
    • When the dough cycle is complete, roll out dough and place in pan.
    • Step Five:
    • Let rest in pans for 10-15 minutes.
    • Step Six:
    • Add toppings of your choice.
    • Step Seven:
    • Bake at 350°F until done (approximately 20 minutes, depending on the thickness of toppings).

Thats it! Its so easy -- and a lot more inexpensive -- to feed a hungry family! We also made bread sticks with this. We used the same dough recipe, but added butter, garlic salt and italian seasoning. We baked them at the same temperature and length as the pizza. It was really yummy!

    Until next time,
    Peace and Love
