g.r.e.e.n beans

So far this year, we (by which I mean Mr. Bailey) have only yielded and eaten sugar peas. Not my most favorite, but they are good. I just gave a bunch of them to Mr. Bailey's Mom, because he wasn't eating them. Ha!

Well our green beans started blooming about a week or so ago? We finally we able to munch on them the other night! I love green beans, especially fresh ones! I've been experimenting on different ways to cook them, and my favorit so far......

I like to put a little it of water in my pan, oil, salt and garlic. I let them steam until the water is gone, then  the oil takes over and cooks them. It is delish! If you've not had them this way you should. You will be addicted.

I am not a casserole kind-of-a-gal, but my family makes this incredible green bean casserole for Thanksgiving, and I think I might have to save a few fresh green beans to make that this year. I know Mr. Bailey would really appreciate that! He was in love with it last year!
