Let It Snow, Let It Snow Let It Snow....Not.

Sometimes I wonder how my parents ended up in Utah. I mean I know the story, and the reasons. I just wonder why Utah. Its beautiful don't get me wrong. Those mountains are to die for. Utah is one of the only states that you can ski in the North and go hiking in the red rocks in the South all in the same season. Utah is "safe" and hey, most of my family is within a 6 hour drive. That is a total bonus.

Though, there is this one tiny problem. Utah has only two season, I swear it. Summer and Winter. The winter part I just can't handle. The bottom of our pants getting wet, Cold toes, salty cars, clearing snow off your car, Slipping on ice, colds and simply just the snow. I think I live in the wrong state to not like snow.

Yesterday there was a "Blizzard" warning. So everyone got off early and went home to batten down the hatches to await the biggest blizzard Utah has seen in nearly over a decade!
(WOW one must be wondering, I bet it was huge!)
Well, It started out really cool. It was a wall of white, and it hit really fast! Then about 15 minutes into the Battened down Bailey home, I peaked outside to see . . . a pretty normal snow storm in Utah. So, We have a couple inches of snow, and freezer like weather outside. YAY?

I suppose this means that I have to start wearing closed toed shoes or something. Though, it also means Grace gets to wear her nifty purple vest.

It is Grace's first winter and I think this picture is all to telling. I think it means "Mom, I don't like the snow either" and not "Mom, I don't like this vest"

Side Note: As I'm sitting here typing this, Grace still has her pretty purple vest on, and is laying on the couch whining. So I threw her rope to play with her and she just stared at it, and continues to whine. She doesn't like that cute little vest darn it! :)

Until Next Time,
Peace & Love
