It was a wonderful weekend filled with family and friends.
Sunday was the bomb dig. We spent it with my family. What more needs to be said? Duh! We went to Rodezio Grill for dinner. Its a really neat Brazilian style restaurant downtown. We all met up and ate us some meat and salad. It was scrumptious. It made me realize how incredibly lucky I am to have my family, and even more lucky that they are who they are, which is basically amazing. So there you have it. Dinner was fantastic, we all stayed away from the Quail eggs so that my dear momma wouldn't be sad. :D
Then it was off to my moms house for cake and ice cream. I made a carrot cake. Well Betty Crocker made it, and put it in a convenient little box for me to add a couple of ingredients too, but instead of using the oil, I used applesauce. One of the best comments of the evenings was telling my family how much healthier it was than using oil [blah blah] and Eric says to me "Ashley quit licking the tree" Apparently I'm a tree hugger, and I've gone further and licked the tree. Then there was this moment that is too price
less for words. I will just describe the actions of those involved.
Maycie with a HUGE grin on her face staring at her Uncle Draykin. Telling him to blow out the candles. Uncle Draykin looking back into her eyes and saying help me on the count of three.
